Monday and
Tuesday are well-deserved lazy days for everyone. We’ve been delighted to
listen to a mini-concert of tradition Nicaraguan songs interpreted by a mother
guitarrist and daugther marimba player. The next early morning, we all leave
the city behind, and climb the mountains up to La Garnacha, a tiny village with
eco-tourism and a spiritual community. Despite very heavy rain the whole night,
what a joy to discover the vast preserved forest, birds, medicinal plants,
fireflies, and the local bananas, organic coffee and goat cheese! We are home
in our hammocks...yet, just a few hours away from parting from our new
Nicaraguan family, bound for Mexico City.
¡Hasta la vista Nicaragua!
